It’s been touching to see the creative community join together in the fight against the coronavirus – from the UK fashion designers creating scrubs, to the photographers selling prints to raise money for Elmhurst Hospital Centre, located in one of the poorest (and hardest hit) areas of New York City.
Today, photography, fashion and art bookshop Claire de Rouen has announced the sale of a new limited edition print by British photographer and Another Man contributor Alasdair McLellan, the proceeds from which will be donated to NHS Charities Together to support those working in hospitals on the frontline of the pandemic.
Signed and numbered on the back and made in an edition of 45, plus five APs, the photograph – titled Roman – is part of McLellan’s celebrated Ultimate Clothing Company series, published in 2011, and comes at a generous price of £240.
“Alasdair’s edition injects a moment of joy and British romanticism into our strange reality,” comments Lucy Kumara Moore, director of Claire de Rouen. “We want to raise as much money as we can for those on the frontline of the Covid-19 crisis in the NHS, so we hope it sells out by tomorrow!”
