Yoko Ono and former Another Man cover star Skepta have been announced as part of next year’s Manchester International Festival programme. Slated for July, the pair have been commissioned to present a “very personal take on how we relate to today’s world”, with Ono set to gather people in Cathedral Gardens to send a message of peace to the world, and Skepta to put on a series of intimate and immersive experiences titled Dystopia987. Describing the project as “Real Life Magic”, Dystopia987 will apparently feature performers, DJs, a range of new technology and a cast “inhabiting a hidden netherworld”.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday, November 1. Head here for more information.
