Prada’s Next Men’s Show Will Be Staged in Shanghai

Prada have just announced that their S/S20 menswear collection will be presented in Shanghai. Foregoing their usual show slot during Milan Fashion Week Men’s, the June 6th presentation will celebrate the 40th anniversary year of the twinning of the cities of Shanghai and Milan. “China has always occupied a prominent place in Prada’s imagination: in particular, the city of Shanghai and its rich cultural life,” says Miuccia Prada. “The attitude and identity of Shanghai, its dynamic fusions of past and present, old and new, are sources of constant exchange and interest.” However, Prada will not shun its home city of Milan completely: during Milan Fashion Week Men’s, also in June, they will host a live music event on June 14th, and a second presentation of the collection.
