Lanvin Announces the Departure of Lucas Ossendrijver

Today, Lanvin confirmed that its artistic director of menswear has parted ways with French fashion house. The news arrives just eight months after designer Oliver Lapidus exited the same womenswear position, after only two seasons. Lucas Ossendrijver, who had spent 14 years at the brand shaping its menswear line in keeping with a vision established by Alber Elbaz, is now following suit. “We are so thankful for Lucas’s dedication to Lanvin men’s collections spanning over a decade, helping the house create an era of elegant minimalism that eschewed trends, instead focusing on the evolution of his clear vision for the contemporary man,” said Lanvin’s CEO Jean-Philippe Hecquet. Rumours are flying over who will become Ossendrijver’s successor – with names such as Loewe’s Bruno Sialelli and Elie Top, a current jewellery designer at the house – two such mentioned. Lanvin will also be pulling out of next season’s menswear schedule in January 2019.
