Judy Blame Has Passed Away
- TextAnother Man
This morning news broke that Judy Blame, the legendary accessories designer, art director, stylist and punk icon, has passed away aged 58. Born in 1960, Blame was part of Ray Petri’s notorious fashion gang Buffalo and helped found boutique, design studio and crafts collective House of Beauty and Culture. Throughout his career, he worked with a multitude of designers such as John Galliano, Rei Kawakubo, Marc Jacobs and Kim Jones, as well as artists including Björk, Kylie Minogue, Neneh Cherry and Boy George – the latter of whom took to Twitter this morning to pay tribute to the legend.
R.I.P to my friend Judy Blame who was beautiful, talented and arch as hell. Fashion has a huge void in it and London has lost a legend! pic.twitter.com/CcgLGiv0SP
