For their Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, Lucie and Luke Meier of Jil Sander invited French photographer Olivier Kervern to document their collection in Sicily – specifically the streets of Palermo, Gibellina and Mondello – as part of their ongoing ‘roadtrip’ series. The resulting images – which are seen here, as well as in the Summer/Autumn 2020 issue of Another Man – capture the quiet elegance of the husband-and-wife duo’s collection with a sensitivity that is very much in keeping with their design ethos, as well as providing a transporting portal to the outside world in a time when most of us find ourselves at home. “In these portraits,” the Meiers say, “Olivier has captured the emotions we intended. It was a true pleasure working with him.”
