Dev Hynes Performs at the Louis Vuitton Show

Virgil Abloh sure knows how to put on a show. On Thursday, the second proper day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the designer delivered his sophomore collection for Louis Vuitton which was dedicated to Michael Jackson and took place within a New York sidewalk set from the Billie Jean video. The show also featured a surprise performance from Dev Hynes, who has previously modelled for Abloh. Accompanied by a live band including Ian Isiah and Benji B, the musician performed an original score that he had himself composed, before walking down the catwalk, strumming his guitar. Hynes finished the show by playing a piano in the middle of a set, in what was a highlight of the A/W19 men’s shows.
