You Can Now Buy Charles Jeffrey Underwear

Charles Jeffrey – known for his youth culture and nightlife-inspired collections – is set to expand the LOVERBOY universe, with a line of men’s underwear. Collaborating with Swedish sportswear brand Björn Borg, the six-piece collection of men’s underwear is printed with Jeffrey’s signature illustrations – this time, entitled Scream, Squiggle and Squirm, and appearing on boxer shorts as all-over prints, or simply around the waistband. An accompanying series of images, styled by Jeffrey and photographed by Dexter Lander, sees the capsule on Jeffrey’s friends and muses. “It almost happened by accident, but while on set we started realising that what we were building was a kind of mash-up of some of the visual cues of eccentric Britishness that I love the most: Culture Club, The Mighty Boosh, a bit of David Bowie,” Jeffrey explains of the images. “What ties them all together is colour, a sense of performance, a dispensing with gender norms. It’s a lot of things I love – remixed.”
